Happy Thanksgiving!

May your holiday be blessed and bountiful. There is much I am thankful for this Thanksgiving – health, family, a new grandbaby, our 5th, friends… As always I’m especially grateful for the friendship and camaraderie of my Bank Whistleblowers United colleagues and the tireless representation given to all whistleblowers by the Government Accountability Project.  And, very special thanks to all of you.

It’s been an exciting year full of growth and opportunities …which included an e-book of my most read articles.

And it’s been an honor to talk to several groups this year, including the Investments & Wealth Institute, The South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Centre, based in Kuala Lumpur, The University of Nebraska, and several fraud and ethics conferences sponsored by universities and national trade groups.

I was honored to be part of a PBS documentary series “Ethics at Work: Playing by the Rules” with the first episode “The Whistleblower” about Sherry Hunt and me, produced by WNET, New York. The series will be aired on many of the PBS stations across the country before the end of the year.

There are more surprises planned for this coming year. I’ll keep you informed. It’s been a full, productive and successful year and I’m grateful you were a part of it.

And, as always, my concern for our country keeps me focused on a continuing quest for accountability at all levels of business and government.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Richard

Richard Bowen is widely known as the Citigroup whistleblower. As Business Chief Underwriter for Citigroup during the housing bubble financial crisis meltdown, he repeatedly warned Citi executive management and the board about fraudulent behavior within the organization. The company certified poor mortgages as quality mortgages and sold them to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other investors.
