It has certainly been a most unusual year full of new challenges, educational opportunities and change.
Learning to teach in the virtual environment solidified the importance of body language and personal interaction with a class. And getting back to the traditional classroom, even with the few students physically coming to class with the rest participating asynchronously online, brought its own set of rules, but I was thankful to be there.
Technology has allowed us to stay in touch and continue working together without putting ourselves or others at risk. That is something for which I am grateful but still miss the in-person interaction.
I am also thankful for my colleagues, fellow speakers, and so many who offer new questions and ways of looking at things. Strong interaction and input keeps the conversation alive and pushes us all to do better and expect more.
What a year!
Wherever you are, I wish you and your family a safe and healthy holiday.
Happy
Thanksgiving! Richard
